Arconic is currently in search of a Counsel, Corporate and Compliance to join our Legal Department in Pittsburgh, PA.

Under the oversight of the Assistant General Counsel and Director, Global Compliance, the Counsel, Corporate and Compliance provides critical support to key areas of the Corporate Secretary, Securities, and Compliance functions, and will be responsible for domestic and foreign subsidiary compliance, assisting the Assistant General Counsel with governance materials, preparing SEC filings, and other public-facing documents, administering compliance-related training and communications, managing Arconic's third party and conflicts of interest processes and supporting Arconic's global compliance program.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the Company's domestic and foreign subsidiary function.
  • Support the Company's securities filings and preparation of governance materials.
  • Manage the Company's Corporate Policies and Procedures, including drafting policies and coordinating with affected business unit and resource unit personnel.
  • Administer the Company's compliance training program.
  • Manage Arconic's third-party and intermediary due diligence processes related to its anti-corruption program.
  • Developing and delivering preventive law materials and training.
  • Support the Company's global compliance program.

  • High volume and fast paced workload, with multiple issues and tasks occurring simultaneously. The candidate must be capable of working to meet deadlines with exceptional prioritization and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks, be cognizant of internal and external customer priorities, be receptive to frequent prioritization changes, and navigate reporting to more than one supervisor.
Basic Qualifications

  • Law degree (JD) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and is currently a member in good standing of the bar of a State, a Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • 6 years' minimum of relevant expereince as a practicing lawyer at a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 years' of relevant experience as a practicing lawyer at a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • High level of technical proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office and web-based software and third-party platforms
  • Technical proficiency using databases and software solutions, including third party management software
  • Experience working with hCue, Wdesk, Section 16 filer or similar systems is preferred
