Responsible for performing outbound sales calls, including cold-calling, lead follow-up, and sales qualification, to develop a portfolio of buying customers while meeting or exceeding quotas.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Build relationships with potential new customers. Identify customer requirements and expectations while finding supply chain solutions to capture new business.
  • Generate and penetrate leads to capture new business outside of the current customer base through phone calls, email, virtual face-time, LinkedIn, and other mediums. Maintain a full pipeline of opportunities and target achievable accounts while diligently updating our Salesforce on activities, leads, and follow-ups.
  • Establish communication cadence for each lead and account (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual)
  • Maintain and grow a full pipeline of opportunities while targeting achievable accounts.
  • Meet and exceed minimum KPI requirements such as productivity, new revenue growth, gross profit, contribution margin, load counts, multiple supply chain service sells and graduating accounts to need additional support.
  • Onboard and manage new accounts providing an outstanding first impression and customer experience to the new Crowley customer.
  • Challenge status quo with effective solutions and improvements to achieve departmental sales goals.
  • Become a trusted voice for the customer to leverage our product and exceed expectations for their supply chain needs
  • Utilize customer relationship management tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve sales goals.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of post-high school education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:


  • 1 - 3 years of sales, customer service, or logistics operations experience

  • Knowledgable of industry-related issues in transportation, supply chain management, and use of technology in logistics
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Proficient in customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to utilize problem-solving skills. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, correspondences, and other written materials. Ability to onboard new accounts while making the transition seem seamless to the customer. Ability to build relationships with current and new accounts while sharing previous experience and/or expertise with fellow co-workers and customers.

Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor, and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

FLSA Status
The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. All work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health, are expected to be respected and complied.
