Overview

The Project Manager works hand in hand with the product team to execute their vision into a real shippable product that meets our cost and scheduling requirements. The Project Manager leads the concept to launch projects for new products working cross functionally with Product Development, Design, Marketing, Sales and Operations teams.

Qualifications


  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, new product introduction and or product development.

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field and or equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Certification a bonus.

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software desired.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with our suppliers. Communication is any combination of verbal, written and video-conference.

  • Exceptional time management skills, the ability to shift gears quickly, wear multiple hats and anticipate issues vs. always having to react to them.

  • Works well as part of a team and as a single contributor.

  • Knowledge of the Consumer Electronics Industry's supply chain process, margins and timelines desired.

  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and deadline driven environment.

  • Experience with industry Project Management Principals.

  • Working with Agile PM methodologies is a bonus.


Responsibilities


  • Managing internal and external resources and manufacturing partners from concept through product approval to ensure on-schedule development.

  • Monitoring each phase of development: identifying and implementing ways to compress timelines, anticipating problems before they happen, coming up with solutions when problems occur and implementing.

  • Creating and maintaining timelines to track projects from conception to product launch.

  • Managing the project specification database to maintain the product target cost and documentation packet.

  • Daily communication with domestic and oversea suppliers to ensure the superior quality and timely delivery of all samples including prototype, sales, and golden samples for each project.

  • Clear and timely communication with suppliers to ensure the project is meeting the design and quality requirements by the agreed upon delivery end-dates.

  • Weekly meeting status reports and daily project updates with company team members including Designers, Engineers, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Communication is any combination of verbal, written and video-conference.

  • Managing product development across vendors to maintain consistency and delivery across product lines and manufacturers.

  • Identifying and implement process improvements within the New Product Lifecycle and introduction.

  • Domestic and international travel, as needed approximately 15% throughout the year.

  • Additional responsibilities based on business needs.
