In this position you will be accountable for managing the continual improvements of products and processes for the PM products at Hometown and Catoosa. You will also be accountable for driving improvement projects through the DMAIC process from Definition to Control. This position is a member of the PM Quality team and interfaces closely with Operations, Asset, Market Management, Engineering, Safety, Sourcing, and Supply Chain to identify and correct issues proactively to prevent customer quality issues. Projects rely on cooperation with internal functions for operations, manufacturing, asset management, supply chain, sourcing, market management, sales management as well as ensure all our products and offerings meet both our contractual commitments and our customers' unwritten expectations.
Utilize statistical analysis of process and product data (SPC, SQC) to identify area of improvements that will reduce variability and affect positive product improvements
Work closely with Technology, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Engineering teams to gain support for improvement projects, acting as project manager responsible for the project's success
Act as technical lead and project on product non-conformance investigations, interfacing with other groups to perform DOE testing and statistical modeling and analysis
Act as a Power User in statistical software platform utilized within Process Materials, and train others to be proficient in advance analysis
Prioritize quality support and activities that to deliver a program for Process Materials that exceeds competitor's capabilities
Customer interface for quality task forces to support customer issues and drive closure and customer satisfaction
Participate in customer quality meetings and present updates as required. Support customer specific quality programs
Support the process for determining and validating method detection limits for all analytical instruments and completing GRR
Support of Hometown and Catoosa container and valve team to drive container performance
Who You Are:
Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Physical Science or other Scientific or Engineering field
5+ years of work experience as a Chemical/Industrial Engineer or customer facing Quality/Quality Assurance Specialist within a manufacturing environment
1+ years of experience with Continuous Improvement (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma)
1+ years of experience in statistical techniques, such as calculating control limits and T-Test
Basic Programming experience in Python, C++, Excel Macros, Access
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certified
Ability to lead a task force to drive an investigation or improvement action.
Black Belt certified with expertise with SPC/SQC and statistical techniques
Prior Semiconductor industry experience
Applied experience in management and leadership roles
Prior Process Engineering experience
Prior Automation Engineering experience
Experience with problem solving and DMAIC investigation methodologies
Detail and results oriented with strong execution, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written)
Apollo Root Cause Analysis experience
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 Internal Auditor Certification
