Broad scope of material handling and control, which may include; monitoring all material that enters or leaves production plant, maintain offsite warehouse, pick up and deliveries via company truck, recycle activity per compliance guidelines relative to approved destruction of same. Other duties as detailed below.
Load and unload trucks, staging materials in appropriate warehouse locations.
Record all deliveries in appropriate software.
Make deliveries and pick-ups from/to vendors as requested.
Make internal deliveries of mail and materials.
Prepare mail for shipment.
Perform audits of card and consumable stocks.
Receive cardstocks into inventory.
Maintain warehouse equipment.
Adhere to ISO 9000 specifications and requirements.
COLLECTION AND MOVEMENT OF MATERIALS - Obtain information each day on the priority of materials to be destroyed. Collect materials from various sites within the plant and move them to the shred room. Materials are collected from the finished goods shred carts in finishing, the Vault Controller in the new vault, the Audit shred cart in the print room, the shred cart from Collation, and the old vault. Ensure all materials are approved for destruction prior to movement. Separate all different materials prior to destruction (such as: PVC, PETF, Polycarbonate and Foils).
PALLETIZING YELLOW SET-UP SHEETS - Yellow set-up sheets, Oasis set-up sheets and Lamination separation sheets do not need to be shredded. They are palletized and recycled in sheet form.
SHRED COLLECTION POINT PROCEDURES - Set-up super sacks under the waste funnels at the collection point in the truck bay in Building#1. A new sack must be put in place each time a sack is filled or a different material is being shredded. New sacks must be checked after shredding for 10 minutes to ensure bag is properly connected and aligned to prevent it from falling over.
Perform additional warehouse activities as required.
Required Experience
Minimum, High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 6 months related experience with machine operation. Minimum, six months' work experience.
The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
Must be PC literate with background in Excel use.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to work various hours.
Requires constant standing and walking, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects
