Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Process Auditor to work in our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus.

Responsibilities


  • The Quality Process Auditor is responsible for leading and conducting audits to insure conformance to the TDSI Quality Management System. Audits are conducted across the organization including all disciplines and departments and all levels of staff/management.

  • The Auditor conducts interviews and evaluates work products to determine compliance with the TDSI Quality Management System. This includes background research and data gathering across multiple systems. Analysis of the data is used to determine compliance with the QMS; identify opportunities for improvement and required corrections to the processes and/or implementation of the processes.

  • The Auditor together with the auditees evaluates the effectiveness of the processes at meeting TDSI process requirements, Customer needs and AS9100 requirements. Results of the analysis feed into process improvement opportunities and/or process corrections to be tracked through to conclusion by the auditor.

  • The Auditor is responsible for supporting external process audits, communicating with staff within TDSI, external partners, customers and government staff.

  • The Auditor is responsible for leading root cause analysis sessions to address identified opportunities for improvement and/or corrections identified from the audit and evaluation for process effectiveness.

  • The Auditor is expected to have deep knowledge of the AS9100 standard, TDSI QMS and be able to convey this to staff and management, including providing training.

  • The Auditor monitors changes to the AS9100 standard, notifies TDSI Management of changes to the standard and provides recommendations that are tracked through to conclusion with the relevant stakeholders.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required. The applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • BS Engineering degree.

  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.

  • Knowledgeable in elements of Process Quality Assurance, including Causal Analysis.

  • ISO/AS9100 audit experience required.

  • Excellent English communication skills - written and oral.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to travel occasionally to support other site audits.

  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
