The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Lean Six Sigma Coach, you will play a significant role in 3M’s Lean transformational efforts through engaging with leaders on some of 3M’s biggest opportunities. This includes the integration of proven Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies to achieve efficient and effective business results. This individual must be able to transfer knowledge and expertise, to deliver sustainable improvements by seeing, managing, and improving end-to-end processes. As part of LSS, you will engage with a vast network of coaches and practitioners to advance lean thinking and promote an environment that the company and its team wants to do business with.

  • Energizing and inspiring teams to apply Lean principles that effectively drive improvement, while monitoring the effectiveness.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified) from an accredited institution

  • Five (5) years’ experience with coaching and training organizations with a Continuous Improvement mindset

  • Three (3) years’ experience leading a Lean transformation

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Certification in Lean

  • Experience in applied learning with demonstrated results

  • Apply lean thinking in a range of core business processes

  • Develop training solutions designed to achieve business objectives

  • Deep understanding of visual design principles

  • Ability to think and act like the customer

  • Leadership experience in leading high performing work teams

  • Effective communication and change management skills

Travel:  May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance:  Is not authorized
