The Big Data Software Engineer is responsible for the development of high performance batch and streaming data pipelines on-premises and the Cloud using Hadoop, NiFi, Kafka, Spark, MySQL and other "Big Data" technologies in a Linux environment. analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software used in distributed, large scale analytics and visualization solutions. Works in a highly agile environment with other developers, solution architects, testers and project managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math or Scientific Computing preferred. Typically requires 5-8 years experience.Programming proficiency in Java, Python, SQL and shell scripting is required. Knowledge of git, C, C++, Jenkins, Impala, Hive, Prometheus or Grafana is a plus. Experience with the Azure Cloud, and Databricks Spark, Snowflake, and Azure Monitor is highly desirable. Some knowledge of cellular telecommunications is helpful. Nifi, Java and Python required.
