Job Description:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), Southeast Division (SED) in Raleigh, NC is seeking a motivated, energetic senior level individual to lead transformation of the largest Sector’s business processes.

The BA/BP lead will be located in Raleigh and report to the Sector Manager in Raleigh.

What you’ll do as a Business Analyst/Business Process Lead:

The BA/BP lead will define, characterize, and assess Business Operations and Technical Operations at an enterprise level to understand current information systems, workflows, transactions, and corporate vs. field responsibilities. This is an exciting time in ARA’s evolution as we are making many changes such as: fully adopting and migrating to Office 365 including SharePoint online, enabling/embracing work-from-home, becoming CMMC certified, adopting new reporting systems, and building a custom enterprise ticketing system. The Lead will work to understand current processes and build consensus with working groups on a prioritized vision to increase efficiency and scalability with the most modern information systems and tools.

Business Analyst/Business Process Lead Requirements:

• Due to the nature of work, qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance


• 15 years post-Bachelor’s experience with 4 of those pertaining to Software Development Environment involvement


• Experience working as a team member on a technical project


• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities


• Technical project management experience


• Ability to quickly learn new systems/languages


• Experience in software interfaces and data communication


• Ability to create flow-charts of data and information within and between information systems


• Ability to engage stakeholders, garner support, set priorities, create plans, execute and monitor progress of planned activities


• Past experience with IT systems and Microsoft programs including Office, Excel, PowerPoint

• Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization from entry-level project managers and technical staff to senior managers and the CEO
