The Supervisor, Benefits is responsible for developing and leading the benefits function for our domestic locations, with some project work on international benefits. This position is a key strategic role in planning, developing, and implementing policies and programs that are groundbreaking and lead the trend in health and welfare, absence management, and retirement plans. This exciting role must stay apprised of emerging benefit plan designs and provide innovate approaches to streamline administrative processes. Also responsible for handling the Benefits Administrators within the department
How you would contribute:
Manage staff responsible for the administration of health and welfare plans as well as retirement benefit programs while using strategic planning to recommend and implement benefit plans that are appropriate to the culture of Herbalife, that adds value, are cost effective, and are competitive in recruiting and retaining.
Provide technical expertise and proactive guidance to monitor and maintain competitive positioning, and to advance and scale these programs to keep pace with the company’s rapid growth.
Act as point of contact on escalated benefit issues and work closely with our US Operations, providing consultation on their benefits.
Coordinate all benefit programs with sensitivity to cost and provides education to users so that all benefits programs are understood.
Assist with annual Open Enrollment activities for US locations.
Oversee staff responsible for data entry of all benefits information tracked in payroll, HRIS, and with the providers.
Ensure all benefit records are kept up-to-date and conducts regular audits.
Responsible for 5500 annual tax audits for both health and welfare and retirement plans.
Ensure all plan documents are kept up-to-date and in compliance and that all employees are provided with appropriate documents and materials in a timely manner.
Work closely with the HR Systems Administrator to implement and maintain automated benefits information in the HRIS including periodic reporting of information with attention to accuracy.
Provide assistance on global and international benefits as projects arise.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and background required to be successful:
Demonstrable skills in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and projecting consequences of proposed actions, and recommending the best options.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information; strong ethics and integrity
Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and reporting requirements to include COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA governing benefit plans.
Ability to work autonomously and at a fast pace; initiative, creativity, and results-focused
Strong HRIS skills
Strong influence and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office, suite of software
Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written
Proficient in absence management including Worker’s Compensation ability to synthesize complex benefits financial data, and provide analysis
Ability to coordinate and prioritize workload
Strong customer and results orientation
Ability to interact optimally at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Ability to function as an effective team member and lead project teams
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
Ability to facilitate dynamic change
Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible Benefits experience
1-3 years’ experience managing direct reports
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
