ISO & Container Tank Mechanic at Boasso America Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Description:

Boasso Global, a premier intermodal service company providing transportation and tank container services is seeking a skilled ISO & Container Tank Mechanic to support operations at our Jacksonville, FL facility.

Responsibilities:

• Pressure testing tanks


• Draining and drying out tanks


• Repairing and replacing valves, and ensuring that tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges function properly to ensure the safe transportation of products


• Repairing and maintaining tank containers using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments


• Observing and listening to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues


• Repairing and replacing defective parts


• Inspecting and adjusting used parts,


• Lubricating and cleaning parts,


• Operating lathe, drill press, grinders, and other metal working tools


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1 year mechanical background


• Ability to wear a respirator


• Comfortable with both heights on top of tanks and enclosed spaces inside of tanks

Preferred Requirements: 

• Industrial work experience


• Forklift certification preferred
