The GM, DX Ducted Parts, is a business team leader responsible for growing the parts business through effective management of parts portfolio aligned with customer needs and the business strategy. The position will have accountability for the Aftermarket Product P&L (~$150M) which will include the entire DX Ducted parts portfolio, achieving the sales volume and segment profit in alignment with overall Ducted Systems organization.

In this role, you will Lead and develop all aspects of DX Ducted aftermarket parts strategy, parts engineering and distribution operations in support of strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be very knowledgable on the subject and will be a strategist and visionary that knows how to tactically implement and deliver on a full spectrum of the product lifecycle. The role is comprehensive and you will have direct influence and responsibility for product business in the NA region as well as supporting other regions and all channels. Responsible for profitability of designated portfolio.

How you will do it


  • Creates vision, strategy and goals and achieves annual revenue, margin and SINC performance.

  • Develops and executes comprehensive parts product management in alignment with the NA parts strategy with emphasis on segment profitability, product placement and technology roadmaps, both short and long range, to drive revenue and segment income growth within the aftermarket parts organization.

  • Plans and defines resources, project deliverables, goals, milestones and schedule for project/program implementation to drive aftermarket parts market share gains.

  • Directs the aftermarket parts product management, aftermarket parts engineering, S1 parts operations and is responsible for the team’s engagement, growth and development.

  • Full P&L responsibility for the DX Ducted (S1) aftermarket parts business.

  • Create and maintains appropriate staffing models to meet the shifting needs of the business.

  • Works collaboratively with JCI equipment (Commercial and Residential) product management. This role assists in the product family roadmap and overall market potential for aftermarket parts in DX Ducted.

  • Evaluates the market position of competing products and services in their marketing and sale techniques.

  • Recruits, hires, trains staff, and evaluates employee performance and recommends promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.

  • Establishes metrics and monitors/ reports on progress against Plan.

What we look for

Required


  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, MBA or appropriate graduate degree highly desirable

  • Requires 15 or more years of experience in the parts business

  • Demonstrated ability to execute new initiatives and business development

  • Broad knowledge of the business and technology trends

  • Demonstrated excellent presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to adjust strategies and approaches quickly as conditions dictate.

  • Possesses a combination of good process, conceptual, business analysis and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop team

Preferred


  • Understanding of HVAC offerings and capabilities in the specific product line
