Summary

The primary responsibilities of the process engineer will be process control/sustaining of existing processes, supporting the development of new processes, and supporting maintenance with equipment troubleshooting. Excellent problem solving and communication skills as well as a desire to be part of and lead to solutions are critical to an individual's success in the position.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Focuses on Equipment and Process of various complexity.

  • Rotation through multiple areas, demonstrate ability to support independently.

  • Supports production equipment and processes.

  • Maintains work instructions and OCAPs.

  • Works closely with more senior staff and takes direction well.

  • Able to develop productivity skills and best practices.

  • Capable of taking well-defined sub-tasks and completing these tasks in a reasonable time frame.

  • Responsible for process control/sustaining of existing processes using JMP.

  • Capable to create/modify/adjust recipes to support R&D.

  • Support function to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.

  • Collection of scrap/hold information to support more senior staff with 4D/8Ds.

  • Tracking/reporting of process yield data

  • Support process changes and ECNs.

Experience


  • 1+ years hands on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment

  • Processing experience in the areas of Epitaxy, Photolithography, Wet Process, Thin Films, or Wafer Thinning is desired

  • Prior experience as a process/equipment owner supporting high volume manufacturing is preferred

  • Experience with SAS JMP, Minitab or other statistical software package is a plus

  • Extensive knowledge of Statistical Process control/Design of experiment/six-sigma/problem solving preferred

Education

  • B.S. orM.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science
