Job Description:

DAT Software & Analytics is looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our Mobile Engineering Team based in Beaverton, OR.

The Mobile Engineering team is responsible for delivering customer solutions on Android and iOS platforms that are maintainable, scalable, and of the highest quality. We use agile development process and value employees who foster collaboration between team members.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, and the ability to successfully interact with fellow team members and project managers on a daily basis. You will participate in the architecture, design, development, and support of a suite of native Android products.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications.


• Contributing to the development of REST APIs and/or BFFs consumed by mobile clients.


• Participating in task estimation and code reviews.


• Helping the team develop software that is reliable, scalable, and testable.


• Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and work with others in doing the same.


• Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on software design.


• Document software designs and project tasks.


• Work with team members to improve development processes and practices.

The Skills You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.


• 5+ years of software engineering experience.


• Minimum 2 years working in the native Android platform. Fluent with Android Studio, ADB, Gradle, etc.


• Experience with Kotlin and ability to read and convert Java to Kotlin.


• Experience with Android US/Material Design according to best practices and standards.


• Experience with Unit testing (Junit, Mockito, Expresso).


• Experience with development of REST APIs for mobile clients.
