Major Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
Create sales plans to achieve business objectives and optimize revenue from existing and new markets
Identify key ISV and application partners to expand market presence
Manage a highly technical sales team, with the goal of keeping them focused on revenue and market position
Hire and mentor new employees, ensure that staff is focused on the customer’s business proposition
Coordinate with Product Management the needs and requirements of each market we serve, or plan to develop
Provide feedback and information on competitors’ products, including relevant sales and market information
Use available data to accurately forecast sales and appropriate performance goals
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients and senior levels
Negotiating, closing and managing partner agreements and contracts
Specific Responsibilities:
Assess and engage prospective markets through tradeshow attendance, customer engagement and industry contact
Ensure that the team tracks opportunities with direct customers and channel resellers through quoting activities and pre-sales consultation
Develop plans and strategies for assigned markets
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans, as needed
Assist in providing timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all applications/opportunities submitted for pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margins
Create and deliver proposal presentations and RFP responses
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and code of business ethics
Increase attach rate with existing customers and their channels
Manage inside sales team to effectively handle new business opportunities and lead follow-up
Direct management with specific key customer/accounts in region
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Broad knowledge of security and specific knowledge of RF technologies
Understanding of electronics, computers, and software/firmware
Knowledge of terms and products in assigned markets
Previous experience in senior sales role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
Broad experience and understanding of distribution and OEM/Channels to support the GTM strategy
Knowledge of data communication interfaces
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organization
Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients
Demonstrate skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts
Possesses an inquisitive nature and pays strict attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, CRM software (preferably NetSuite)
Ability to travel up to 50% of time in region
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration or marketing, plus 7 or more years of experience in sales or business development to major industries, or market segments is required. MBA is preferred.
