Kroll' Transaction Advisory Services practice provides seamless analytical advisory through the deal continuum, from transaction origination to closing.

To complement its existing Transaction Advisory Services offering, Kroll is continuing to grow its Transaction Structuring and Accounting practice. This team provides commercially focused accounting advice across the entire deal continuum, from transaction origination through to post deal optimization. This team designs optimal transaction structures, provides complex accounting advice and helps groups navigate change.

We are seeking a high-calibre individual looking to build on their current technical knowledge and commercial experience to work on diverse and demanding transactions. This position is based in our New York City office, however, we are open to other locations within the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Help identify efficient and effective solutions to technical accounting and transaction issues and deliver these solutions to our clients
  • Work on a collaborative basis across our practice to support with the creation of relevant and insightful thought leadership through publications, external seminars and industry groups
  • To build and maintain a network of key relationships both internally and externally
  • Consistently deliver excellent client service
  • Contribute on a proactive basis to the leadership and direction of our group by designing and executing specific components of our market strategy

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related discipline preferred
  • CPA qualified (US CPA strongly preferred), gained in a top tier accounting firm and/or internationally recognized investment bank
  • US GAAP technical accounting experience
  • Experience in ASC 805, ASC 606, ASC 842 and mention an ability to write technical memorandums
  • Key interest in M&A advisory; accounting and financial due diligence; purchase price allocations; advising on sale and purchase agreements; and M&A disputes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, marketing, sales and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to understand the problems and issues in achieving the required client outcomes and to be able to research the potential solutions autonomously and through consultation with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Experience working with diverse teams
