A division of Samuel, Son & Co., Pressure Vessel Group is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of pressure vessel solutions. We offer a wide range of capabilities in fabricating stock, custom and engineered-to-order vessel designs. Materials include carbon, stainless steel and other high alloy metals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide timely and accurate management reports on a weekly and monthly basis which will analyze divisional business results and provide data necessary to determine pricing, profitability and forecasting.


• Oversee the standard cost accounting system and provide variance analysis to support updating costs.


• Assists in physical inventory counts.


• Review and seek approval for journal entries and adjustments to the general ledger.


• Ensure reports accurately reflect the condition of the business unit and provide reliable information for management decisions.


• Assist with financial close and reporting requirements.


• Perform analysis of job costs and report results monthly.


• Responsible for account reconciliations, as well as subsidiary ledger verification.


• Assist internal/external auditor(s) as required.


• Provide support for all other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.


• At least 5 years of related accounting experience in a fast-paced professional environment.


• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience.

• Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.  

• Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.


• Must have the ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages.


• Must have knowledge and understanding of ERP systems
