The Team

We are seeking a Summer Intern to join American Tower’s Corporate Finance organization for the summer of 2021.  The Intern will assist with completing a variety of finance functions, including the consolidation of quarterly financial and statistical information to support the earnings release process, variance analyses, and drafting and coordinating analytical reports provided to senior management.  The Intern will also support various data governance and global reporting initiatives, partnering with global finance and IT department stakeholders to develop reporting solutions and capabilities while leveraging our global data and business intelligence reporting platforms.

What You Can Offer Us


  • Assist team members with consolidating global financial and statistical information to support quarterly earnings releases and quarter-end reporting processes.

  • Support the quarterly forecast process by consolidating and analyzing global operational and financial plans.

  • Critically analyze the financial, qualitative, and strategic merits of various global capital allocation initiatives, and effectively communicate risks, opportunities, and other insights to the Corporate Finance team.

  • Assist key global stakeholders with further advancing global reporting capabilities and data governance initiatives.

  • Conduct analyses and create financial models on a recurring and ad hoc basis.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed


  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in either Finance or a related field.

  • Strong finance skill set with a solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.

  • Solid valuation and project analysis skills, including an understanding of discounted cash flows, net present values, and internal rates of return.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with an ability to quickly learn other software tools.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
