An exciting new opportunity for a Medical Surgical Nurse Manager is now available at a 200-bed hospital.

The Medical Surgical Nurse Manager will report directly to the Medical Surgical Director. Responsibilities for this role include staffing the unit on a 24 hour basis appropriate to patient needs. The Nurse Manager must remain accessible to staff and assures appropriate dissemination of information. The Nurse Manager acts as a role model for professional practice by demonstrating proper, flexible and creative problem solving skills. Utilizes appropriate communication and collaboration skills and demonstrates working knowledge of professional practice of varied disciplines. Oversees and supervises all nursing care activities, directly or through assigned supervision. Consistently provides feedback to staff on positive and negative aspects of performance. The Nurse Manager establishes, monitors and maintains quality standards for optimal patient outcomes on a 24 hour basis.
