The Cytotechnologist will collaborate with the Medical Laboratory team, and perform a variety of testing on blood, body fluids and exudates to provide information used to diagnose diseases. The ideal Cytotechnologist will be Cyto (ASCP) certified and understand the laboratory and hospital safety policies, equipment, safety requirements and guidelines and maintain technical competency. The Cytotechnologist will need to prioritize patient testing during times of peak workload to ensure timely reporting and workflow.
