Reporting to the Pharmacy Supervisor, the Pharmacy Assistant will work collaboratively in clinical, staff, and ambulatory roles, putting their excellent communication skills to use while interacting with a multidisciplinary team. 

The Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for transcribing physician orders into computerized patient medication profiles, selecting and preparing medications, pharmaceutical products including intravenous admixtures, assists in dispensing and distribution of unit dose medications, maintains pharmacy equipment, generates unit dose and intravenous admixture labels, and transports pharmacy merchandise. The Pharmacy Assistant must have the ability to perform these functions in all areas in which pharmacy services are provided.
