North Naples Church is accepting applications for the position of Church Administrator. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Pastor. The Church Administrator supports the Senior Pastor by overseeing the day-to-day operations of North Naples Church in accordance with the Discipline of the United Methodist Church and provides guidance to church administration functional areas in a Christian environment. This position has supervisory responsibility for the Office Manager and the following functional areas: Facilities, Safety and Security, Information Technology, Communications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Senior Pastor to relieve him/her of administrative and campus management duties and responsibilities in support of the Church’s mission
Serve as initial point of contact for Senior Pastor with both staff and guests; provide assistance and information
Oversee work of Director of Facilities (together with Trustees) to ensure efficient and well-maintained facilities and campus.
Oversee the work of the campus and communications, ensuring alignment of mission and values, and managing shared services of operational support.
Work in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources to maintain systems and processes for the development and performance of the staff, to maximize effectiveness and create a healthy culture of team and collaboration.
Schedule and serve as facilitator for several recurring internal meetings; prepare materials for Board meetings and communicate with Board members as necessary
Lead staff in the coordination and implementation of events and initiatives by providing guidance through written procedures, coaching, and support.
Foster and maintain good working relationships with North Naples Church and The Village School departments; model, lead and encourage positive and professional behavior
Work in collaboration with the Director of Accounting to assist supervised functional areas with annual budget process
Responsible for oversight and approval of expenses of supervised departments including credit card reconciliation approvals, check requests, and special event expenses
Prepare and submit reports required at the District and Conference level of the United Methodist Church in a timely manner while ensuring data integrity; serve as point of contact between North Naples Church and United Methodist Church
Create and execute contracts on behalf of North Naples Church, create invoices, and see the agreement through to completion
Other duties in direct support of Senior Pastor, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
Church Administrator Certification preferred
At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role overseeing departmental functions and employees in a large Church setting preferred
Working knowledge of United Methodist Church structure and reporting requirements is a plus
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
Solid decision making skills and advanced communication, management, and organizational skills are required
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
Ability to effectively communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to external sources
Fiscally responsible and ability to adhere to high ethical standards
