G&W is looking for a high-energy, collaborative, and driven individual to fill the role of Director of Finance Transformation. Reporting to the CFO, this role will be responsible for creating, designing, delivering, and communicating a large-scale, comprehensive finance transformation program with an emphasis on best-in-class Finance & Accounting processes leveraging process optimization, technology automation, change management, and controls.
This role requires a unique individual who possesses the experience, knowledge, leadership, communication skills, and passion to lead the finance transformation successfully. This individual will have influence over a range of activities from ideation, planning and program execution, to standardization and automation; all with a goal of enhancing finance and accounting processes that drive measurable efficiency gains throughout the organization. This role will be highly visible across the company working with senior executives and business/functional leaders as well as with IT teams on digital innovation. Strong interpersonal skills alongside technical expertise will be essential in a job that is cross-functional and will drive wholescale organizational change. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership
Understand the company’s business strategy, organizational structure and be a key member to drive Finance’s vision to best achieve the company’s goals
Develop and drive execution of the finance transformation roadmap and identify key metrics/deadlines
In collaboration with CFO and senior finance team, set a high standard for the finance function, implementing and leveraging functional KPIs and best practice adoption
Serve on internal IT Governance body charged with defining technology strategy and prioritizing company-wide initiatives
Transformation
Assess key accounting and finance processes, technology, and stakeholders throughout the organization in order to make recommendations for future enhancements
Support the CFO to develop and implement a change management plan, including communications, that enables smooth implementation of multiple initiatives
Act as the conduit between the finance team, internal customers and external partners to ensure work product is aligned with transformation plan, as required
Play a key role in leveraging new ERP platform and other state-of-the-art finance tools to enable the finance transformation
Proactively communicate progress and challenges associated with transformation initiatives
Analysis
Develop financial analysis to identify benefits and costs of recommended enhancements and initiatives
Prioritize finance process improvements and automation opportunities based on (i) the needs of key business stakeholders, (ii) time and cost of implementation, (iii) the expected benefits to be achieved, and (iv) the associated complexity and risks of implementation.
Ad hoc financial analysis, as necessary
Innovation
Work with Finance, Business and IT to brainstorm and design new ways of leveraging IT systems and tools such as ERP, RPA, BI, process automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
Learn and master the latest innovation in Finance/Shared Service across industries and be a mentor/coach to internal teams
Explore ways to continuously improve Finance & Accounting’s ability to be an effective business partner through process improvement and digital innovation
Program & Change Management
Manage the execution and delivery of a broad range of improvement initiatives
Identify and resolve potential conflicts and competing priorities
Drive best practice adoption, training, user change management to ensure full leverage of new processes/tools
KEY ATTRIBUTES:

Core finance and accounting process improvement experience (Procurement-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash) including strong knowledge of controls / processes -additional experience in FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Project Accounting are a plus
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and Power Platform (PowerBI and PowerApp), Robotics Process Automation (UiPath Preferred), or similar top-tier ERP systems such as SAP
Financial acumen and modeling skills to facilitate prioritization of multiple transformation initiatives
Strong skills and experience to manage and deliver large, complex programs
Strong collaboration skills to effectively work across finance, business units, IT, and other functions
A passion for understanding the latest advancements in automation and new technologies, and the diligence to apply these to solve business problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to simplify complex issues to varied audiences
Vitality, drive and resolve in overcoming challenges and seeking new innovative solutions
Exceptional organization skills and flexibility in guaranteeing that projects are correctly resourced, managed and delivered
7-10 years of experience working in complex enterprises
MBA or CPA preferred
Must be willing to travel
