Job Description:

Information Technology Management

Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.
Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
Executive oversight of the IT committee, including management of meetings and interfacing with physician committee members.
Evaluates and implements IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment.
Responsible for executive oversight of data security operations in the organization, including work with outside vendors.
Building and maintaining executive relationships with community IT partners.
Developing a strong working relationship with the physicians and management team of the organization. Works in partnership with the organizational operational team, including clinical, revenue cycle management, and the business office.
Coordinates the Slocum Orthopedics Data Committee and works with the committee on data analytics projects on an ongoing basis.
Ensures users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.
Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Develops and maintains company IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
Develops/selects and conducts user training on an as-needed basis


Personnel Management

Structures, leads, trains, and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness.
Responsible for overall management of the following positions in the Practice.

Database Analysts
IT Technicians
Technology Implementation Specialist


Planning/Financial Management

Participate in management long-term other planning activities. Be able to forecast resource requirement for implementation of practice goals and objectives.
Prepare annual operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility that reflect the on-going operational requirements of the Practice and new goals and objectives as directed by the Administrator.
Prepare monthly analysis of budget variance reports. Implement operational changes to maintain compliance with budget objectives.
