Position Overview

The Senior Specialist, Quality is responsible for developing policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and operations for their assigned line of business.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
  Coordinate all aspects of the group Quality Management System (QMS) program and develop training to cascade to all assigned locations ensuring sustainability through the auditing process
  
  


• 
  
  Implement and maintain the process improvement process including establishing targets for achieving the company's quality objectives
  
  


• 
  
  Drive quality related policy deployment objectives by utilizing statistical methods and root cause problem solving in analyzing quality issues
  
  


• 
  
  Lead the resolution of customer complaints or field failures, developing solutions as appropriate to eliminate the recurrence of the issue
  
  


• 
  
  Monitor and report on quality metrics and progress towards quality goals
  
  


• 
  
  Support operations in troubleshooting quality issues and capturing Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  
  


• 
  
  Support the execution of plant quality manuals, statistical process control, and statistical quality control methods
  
  


• 
  
  Provide leadership to location quality resources to ensure accurate, effective, and timely completion of all quality records, sample collections, and reports
  
  


• 
  
  Support continuous improvement efforts with the DMAIC process, participating in Kaizen events, and participating in the 5S and quality audit process

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• 
  
  Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  
  


• 
  
  5-10 years' relevant experience required
  
  


• 
  
  Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
  
  


• 
  
  Position will require up to 50% travel
  
  

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

• 
  
  Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
  
  


• 
  
  Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
  
  


• 
  
  Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
  
  


• 
  
  Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  
  


• 
  
  Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces
