As an Investment Operations - Reporting Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of complete, accurate, and timely investment reporting to all clients and market segments of Prudential Retirement. Specifically, you will be supporting data and reporting functions with the investment platform organization focused on preparation of client/market facing investment collateral including fund fact-sheets, investment performance reports, analytics reports, benchmarks, and other investment reports. In addition, you will be directly supporting implementation and ongoing execution of quality controls and data validation processes intended to ensure accuracy of all final investment materials produced in hard copy, or displayed on websites consistent with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will work very closely with the Investment Platform and Product teams, as well as vendors and data service providers supporting the investment operations area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Support production functions and delivery of all investment reporting elements, including the generation of fact-sheets, validating investment performance grids, and monitoring report delivery-metrics.


  • Assist in development of quality control programs, and perform ongoing validation of investment data controls, quality processes, and performance metrics.


  • Identify and provide timely resolution for investment data errors impacting all areas of investment reporting and data consumption/utilization.


  • Support production by working with management to document and communicate in a timely manner on issues impacting the quality of reported materials.


  • Anticipate and recommend solutions to complex data questions.


  • Work with control partners and vendors on control enhancements, issue research, and resolution.


  • Provide distribution review/approval of data changes within the IMDM platform.


  • Support production by working with peers on procedures that drive efficiencies in problem resolution and serve as a point of contact for root cause analysis.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 - 6 years of financial services experience ideally in investment reporting or operations


  • Knowledge of database concepts and experience with SQL query tools


  • Expert knowledge of excel data analytic tools


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills especially in data intensive production/reporting functions


  • Process analysis, quality controls, and continuous improvement familiarity


  • Strong knowledge of investment performance reporting practices, and product/investment vehicles and structures


  • Experience in development or application of metrics, data validation methodologies, and proficient use of complex reporting tools


  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity


  • Excellent written and oral communication


  • Experience working with investment vehicles commonly used in ERISA-covered plans (i.e. Mutual Funds, Collective Investment Trusts, Insurance Co Separate accounts) preferred


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
