Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

dormakaba is seeking an Installation Technician to join our Service team in Pinellas Park, FL. This position will be responsible for the installation of automatic doors and related equipment, materials, and control devices.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Installs dormakaba doors and related equipment, materials, and control devices in commercial buildings


• Carries out corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner


• Services customer equipment to the customers' ongoing satisfaction and setting minimum performance standards


• Projects a Customer Service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers


• Maintains accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely use of all documentation and technical data


• Manages assigned parts and consumable stocks effectively


• Communicates with Sales and Service management about customer complaints and sales opportunities

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid current driver's license


• Mechanical knowledge, 3-5 years relevant experience


• An exceptional candidate would have an Electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments, or AAADM certification
