Assistant Executive Housekeeper:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for the successful operation and administration of the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have a combination of education, and training/experience that provides the required skills such as hiring, training, coaching, assisting with payroll/accounting, planning and scheduling work assignments.

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will assist with the cleaning as necessary to achieve optimum guest service, as well as company performance goals. They will also ensure all safety, security and Hotel policies/procedures are observed and that areas of responsibilities (keys, linen, supply closets and storeroom) are well-maintained.

This person will also inspect rooms for compliance with established cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort as per Shaner and franchise standards.

Experience:

Prior hotel / hospitality experience required.

A minimum of two (2) years’ housekeeping experience required.

A minimum of one (1) year housekeeping supervisory experience required.

A minimum two (2) years’ prior experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper preferred.

Prior relative franchise experience a plus.

Knowledge of all aspects of the hotel including laundry, housekeeping, and Human Resources procedures and protocol. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, requirements and use of equipment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Desire and ability to work within a diverse staff. Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
