We are looking for a test engineer, not software testing but manufacturing background, HW oriented, manufacturing test systems to diagnose issues with a strong EE background, experience with schematics and factory support. This engineer will manage new product introduction HW engineering activity in contract manufacturing environment. Lead evaluation and qualification of electrical/electronic components/sub-systems for use on our current products working with cross-functional teams and suppliers across different regions.

How You'll Make Your Mark:


  • Leads multiple project teams of other test engineers and internal and outsourced test partners responsible for all stages of systems, equipment, and device testing, including solution and test plan design, validation, tooling, test execution and results evaluation.


  • Design, setup, and deploy manufacturing test system (sufficient coverage with the most cost-effective solution)  


  • Troubleshoot, root-cause, and getting corrective actions implemented, on defect during Prototype build


  • Acquire product knowledge during development phase


  • Production yield monitoring: tackling issues/defects that may decrease the yield. 


  • Investigate early product defect from the field/customer 


  • Evaluate and qualify electrical/electronic components/sub-systems for use on our current products to achieve cost savings


  • Project manage the resource, budget and schedule, working with components/sub-systems suppliers as well internal cross-functional teams to deliver the cost saving projects


  • Formulate test plan and complete the measurements/testing


  • Approve the components/sub-systems for use on our current products


  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners for systems, equipment, and device testing.


  • Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with technology and testing guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.


About You:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with typically 6-10 years experience.


  • Strong fundamentals in electronics engineering with good analytical and problem solving skills. 


  • Good understanding of circuit analysis and component characteristics.


  • Familiar with lab equipment (e.g. high speed oscilloscope etc.) 


  • Exposure to interface technologies such as SGMII, XAUI, SerDes, USB, I2C. 


  • Experience in Manufacturing test system is an advantage


  • Extensive experience with testing tools, automation, and software packages.


  • Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware and electrical component design.


  • Evaluating forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate testing architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
