The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The candidate hired for position of Data & Syndication Associate will be responsible for consolidating data from 3M systems, conducting data quality checks, publishing to partner software and ultimately syndicating data to meet customer and compliance deadlines. The candidate would also be responsible for review of new product data and product changes for impact on syndicated data. This position would also support related Data.

As a Data & Syndication Associate, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Keep current on existing and emerging UDI regulations both locally and internationally through industry groups and monitoring

  • Publishes data to partner software and prepares data for syndication

  • Serves as subject matter expert for Health Care staff for UDI issues and questions. Provide ongoing training for divisions and functions to ensure quality and accuracy of data acquisition and maintenance processes

  • Participates in change management activities where they impact syndicated data and manages process for syndication of new product data

  • Leads projects to manage data needs for emerging global regulations

  • Assisting in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data stewards and data custodians

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • One (1) year of experience with any combination of the following: Product Information Management, Regulatory Affairs and/or IT experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • One (1) year or more of UDI experience

  • Familiarity with Agile Processes, GS1 Standards, and SAP system

  • Self-learner and comfortable with continuous learning in regulatory and technology arenas

  • Ability to multi-task and drive people to complete compliance tasks on time

  • Ability to work across divisions and business service groups and in a large, highly matrixed organization

  • Ability to analyze processes with desire for continuous improvement

  • Flexible attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
