The Role

The Manager of Defined Contribution Client Services will focus on leading the team servicing our Defined Contribution Retirement clients.  The Manager will lead and develop of team of approximately 15-20 Client Service Managers, ensuring development of Talent and attainment of personal and organizational goals.  The Manager will partner with Key Account Teams assigned to the relationships serviced by their team and be jointly responsible for the overall client satisfaction and revenue growth for the relationship.   

Daily tasks will include managing people, projects, coordination of internal meetings and working groups to meet project deadlines, and coordinating the completion of tasks for our largest clients.  This person will independently lead partnerships with Sales, Key Account Teams, Operations, and other business partners to facilitate resolutions to services issues and ensure exceptional customer service delivery.  The job will require the ability to lead difficult conversations and negotiations with intermediaries, clients, and internal partners with positive client outcomes.  

Expert knowledge of the retirement industry and competitive environment as pertains to Financial Advisors and Intermediaries will be required.  The Manager will be expected to lead conversations at the firm level for broad discussions regarding plan design and optimal plan usage across multiple plan types while having a strong understanding of the marketplace.  This requires expert knowledge of Prudential offerings, processes, and capabilities.  The focus of the team will be on improving plan health through Full-Service Solutions offering and secure retirement.

Your Expertise

What you’ll need to succeed:    


  • Four years of customer service and/or people leadership experience 

  • Prior experience in financial services - specifically retirement services

  • Experience leading and influencing people in a matrixed environment   

  • Must obtain FINRA Series 6, 63, & 26; in addition to a State Insurance License within 120 days of employment (failure to obtain results in job disqualification). Fully licensed candidates are strongly preferred

It’d be a plus if you have:

  • Four-year degree/advanced degree is preferred.
