Job Summary

This is not a building maintenance position.  The position requires the maintenance of the plant facility including the maintenance and repair of production equipment and maintaining storeroom inventory. Primary duties are to support operations by maintaining the equipment and facility with an emphasis on safety at an optimal level with the help of your team. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/mechanical systems. This position will require daily overtime as dictated by the production schedule with the flexibility to work a rotating weekend schedule and respond to call-ins during production hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines


• Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications


• Troubleshoot and determine appropriate repairs using precision measuring and testing instruments


• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools and examining form and texture of parts


• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments


• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges


• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results


• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs


• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations


• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

Requirements

• Must be mechanically inclined and have at least 3 years experience in Maintenance in an industrial plant


• Ability to work with the production department to ensure timely repair of equipment is essential


• Ability to work independently and proactively


• Basic computer familiarity


• Good organizational skills


• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude


• Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems


• Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical drawings/prints


• Experience with PLC systems and frequency drives


• Experienced with Welding/Fabrication


• Experienced in field wiring installation  

 Preferences

• Proficient troubleshooting skills


• Knowledge of maintenance programs is a plus


• Universal maintenance experience (well rounded)


• Strong on motor control and variable frequency drives (VFD's)


• Knowledge of control circuit wiring 24VDC is a plus
