Summary

The Quality Control Technician must be able to perform and maintain front line quality inspections to control the level of product quality delivered to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Read drawings to determine specifications and tolerances for a variety of machined metal components

  • Able to utilize a wide variety of inspection tools, particularly the use of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc. to inspect product

  • Define problems and report all issues with product to management for analysis and disposition

  • Ensure that containment activities take place when discrepancies and non-conforming product is identified

  • Perform all daily measurements and checks throughout the plant and maintain accurate documentation

  • Identify opportunities to improve product and present to management

  • Verify accuracy of inspection sheet data supplied from production group

  • Ensure quality control reference material for active production is available for operators

  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Qualifications


  • High School diploma (or equivalent)

  • Previous work in Quality Control/Quality Assurance

  • Possess the ability to read and understand product drawings

  • Must understand dimensional tolerance in both Metric and English

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

Physical Demands


  • Extended standing and sitting

  •  Able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally

  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds, regularly
