The Talent Development Specialist will work across the company network to create leadership and talent development program for full-cycle hiring specific to early talent.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and facilitate curriculum and co-lead the Great Lakes Cheese Intern Association program.
Create e-learning programs as well as in-person events for emerging talent as well as succession events.
Event creation, coordination and implementation based on strategic alignment for talent or organization development.
Assess, review and select candidate resumes for hourly and salary requisitions while processing candidate movement in the applicant tracking system as needed.
Coordinate and assess phone-screening applicants for full-cycle entry-level positions as needed.
Collaborate with GLC leaders on GLC ambassador/recruiting events as needed.
Facilitate and deploy University Relations recruiting initiatives to help build a talent pipeline for Great Lakes Cheese.
Establish and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, vocational schools, non-profits, and other organizations.
Responsible for fostering and maintaining an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process of a candidate.
Create and post job ads and recruitment marketing campaigns across the company network for emerging talent.
Identifies candidates including a diverse slate to interview / assess.
Develop marketing and community outreach opportunities for Great Lakes Cheese to develop and acquire talent.
Assist Talent Management Team with talent and learning projects.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or Hospitality a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year of Talent Acquisition/Management, Human Resources, and/or Event Planning experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, and or Business, a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience with university relations or college recruiting/coordination efforts.
Experience supporting talent management efforts in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
Experience planning and coordinating large scale hiring events.
Experience working in a CRM or Applicant Tracking System (Success Factors preferred).
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well cross-functionally.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage time appropriately.
Working Conditions
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
