We have an opening for a Facilities Technician. This role will perform equipment inspections and any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and have a willingness to learn new skills. This role also requires extensive traveling between stores throughout South East to mid-Michigan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel to multiple locations throughout South East to Mid-Michigan.
Perform mechanical maintenance and building maintenance as required, using hand tools motorized lifts and machine tools.
Performing troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems
Working with contractors and vendors
Handling emergency service calls after business hours on an on-call rotation
Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment
Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services
Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, fixtures, floors, service restrooms, replaces light bulbs and fuses using both step and extension ladders
Clean grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, snow or other debris
Perform ground maintenance including removal of snow from sidewalks, salting walkways, mowing small areas of grass, trimming shrubs, etc., at an office site
Load and unload supplies, and moved heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment
Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a background check- Required.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel- Required.3+ years' general maintenance experience- Required.
3+ years' janitorial or sanitation experience- Required.
Extensive door hardware knowledge- Required.
Advanced experience with maintenance tools and equipment- Required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision
Strong service and quality focus.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds and regularly move up to 20-50 pounds.
