Job Description:

Westminster Woods on Julington Creek is the Natural Choice in active living. We are a faith-based, not-for-profit organization inspired by a mission of serving older adults.  Our five star facility is located in Northwest St. Johns County.  We are currently seeking a full-time Carpenter. This position constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and
wallboard, conforming to local building codes, by performing the following duties. EEO/DFWP "We honor those who have served."

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

1. Replace rotten wood fixtures and trimming; both for the interior and exterior of the building and residential units.


2. Construct all cabinetry related fixtures including (but not limited to) shelves, cabinet units and cable/pipe covers and trimmings. Repair furniture and cabinet units.


3. Perform door installation without frame for interior/exterior of the building and residential units, including lock mechanisms.


4. Construct and install framing fixtures based on requirements (doors, passage ways and ramps).


5. Utilize and operate a variety of wood working hand and power tools.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in carpentry.
