Acuity Optical is seeking a motivated individual to join our company as an Equipment Maintenance and Repair Technician. This individual will show an aptitude for troubleshooting software and mechanical issues through critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize working knowledge and experience in the areas Motors/Wiring configurations, Computers, Electrical Schematics, Electrical Distribution Systems, conveyors and Preventive / Predictive Maintenance.


• Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance of coolant systems, machines and conveyors.


•      Mechanical expertise, to include, but not limited to, Precision Alignment, Tensioning fasteners & belts, Lubrication, Mechanical drawings, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.


• Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on Lens manufacturing machines that could utilize power driven rotating equipment, drive motors reliant on axis alignment, and input/output relays. Communicating directly with Vendors to troubleshoot high level process anomalies with machines



• This is a fast pace work environment that will require kneeling, squatting, crawling and some heavy lifting

Experience and Qualifications:
 

1. Must possess strong work ethic and be self motivated.

2. A good attendance record.

3. Mechanical aptitude and or previous mechanical maintenance experience.

4. Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex machines and their software programming

5. Must have working knowledge of the following: proper use of hand / power tools, pneumatics and axis motors.

6. Critical thinking skills to provide understanding during detail oriented problem solving situations.
