Job Description:

The Aerial Foreman is responsible for supervising the work crew consisting of 2 - 3 crew members. This position will plan the most efficient and effective work in order to perform tasks on a daily and weekly basis. This position is responsible for identifying, communicating and troubleshooting problems on the job site and is responsible for the quality of work as well as creating and ensuring a positive, professional company image on the job site.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage up to 4 employees.


• Oversee employee time keeping.


• Work in a team environment.


• First responder during storms and emergency OSP plant restoration.


• Assist in training and advancing performance of aerial ground hand.


• Inventory management.


• Material ordering and stock management.


• Travel is required.

Education and/ or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Must pass a D.O.T. physical & drug screening.


• Have a current Driver's license and clean driving record.


• Proficient in bucket truck operation.


• Advance knowledge of NESC, governing regulatory and contractual requirements for aerial placement.


• Advance knowledge of equipment.

• Able to use a shovel and post hole digger.


• Able to work out in the elements (heat, cold, rain, etc.)


• Ability to work at heights up to 50'.


• Must be able to climb poles.


• Sitting, standing, and walking.


• Lifting up to 75 pounds several times a day.


• Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.


• Bending, stooping, climbing ladders and crawling.


• Long hours involving overtime and weekends as necessary.


• Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy.

• Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.


• Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.


• Ability to travel up to 20%.


• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
