This position will lead and guide the functional areas of Quality Assurance, Safety, Environmental Health and Sustainability, and Laboratories assuring high quality, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and safe procedures and processes are established for all Ste Michelle Wine Estate locations while leading efforts to increase our sustainability and being good stewards to the environment.


What you will do:



  • Leads, guides, and directs diverse teams to achieve business strategies delivering on company results.

  • Owns the development and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO, HACCP, and Safety training and programs.

  • Ensures all facilities are in compliance with all federal, state and municipal regulations, and all regulatory training, inspections, and investigations are completed on time with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Forges positive relationships across all locations and champions partnership and collaboration with all programs.

  • Works with direct management team to build goals, operating plans, and policies to reach short and long-term objectives.

  • Facilitates a respectful and inclusive work environment enabling all team members to give their full potential.

  • Sets clear expectations and standards of accountability, crafting an environment where teams and individuals take ownership for their actions and results, both positive and those not meeting standard.

  • Provides recognition for results in a culturally appropriate manner

What you will bring:


Physical Requirements:



  • Lift, push, or pull up-to 50 lbs. of weight.

  • Perform work with arms extended forward, side-to-side, and/or overhead.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment with varying temperature and noise level changes.

  • Ability to work hands-on with wine and wine laboratory chemicals.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Science (i.e., Food Science for Quality Management) or Business from a four-year College or university; or combination of education and progressive responsibility related experience.

  • 7+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality management and/or environmental health & safety management

  • Familiarity with IS0 17025.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and listening skills

  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
