Position Summary / Career Interest:
Under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Compliance Officer, the Director of Human Resourcesis responsible for the major areas of talent acquisition, retention, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
Position Description:
Establishes short and long term corporate strategies for program growth and development based on the industry and market conditions.
Promotes positive leadership by an environment of teamwork, open communication, customer service and effective problem solving.
Develops financial budget to achieve corporate strategies and financial targets, manages areas of responsibility to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
Manages policies and work instructions for compliance with regulatory standards and to improve the overall operation of the facility.
Creates a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization and that emphasizes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns objectives and sets priorities, conducts and administer salary adjustments.
Oversees strategic recruitment and selection plan.
Oversees compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
Oversees the performance appraisal and competency program to ensure qualified personnel.
Directs the administration of benefit programs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Bachelors degree in a related field
Extensive knowledge in organizational planning, compensation, employment / recruitment, benefits and employee relations; strong inter-personal and written communication skills; a working knowledge of personal computers
Must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment and be able to communicate effectively with many different people with various education levels
Must have positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast paced ever changing environment
Preferred:
Masters degree in a related field with an emphasis in human resources
HIPAA:This position will have access to the following Protected Health Information in order to carry out the duties related to their position at Hays Medical Center based on the following criteria:
Primary - required (routine) to do the job Secondary - required for the job, but mostly be exception None - no approved access
Description of Information Level Secondary:
Patient Demographic Information (information used to identify a person): Name, Date of Birth, Address, Race, Marital Status, Religion
Financial Information/Insurance (information related to insurance, billing and payment): Billing Information, Payer Name, Payer ID, Account Balances, Plan Elements Covered, Payment Information, Payment Rates
Clinical Information (information that describes a patient's health status): Diagnosis, Reports/Medical Notes, Test Results, Problem List, Procedures, History and Physical
Coding Information (clinical information that is in (alpha) numeric format): ICD-10 Codes, Rev Codes, CPT Codes
Infection Control: Initial and Ongoing training in dealing with infection control. Trainings could include but are not limited to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids and bio hazardous materials as it applies to your daily work environment.
