Job Description:

OVERVIEW

Performs a variety of duties to lead and ensure the ongoing supply of product to production to maintain a steady workflow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Assists and supervises personnel in the picking, staging and delivering of product to the production areas. Follows the progress of work, anticipates or investigates cases of delays or inadequate performance, takes corrective actions refers unusual situations to Supervisor.

  • Prepares kit picking reports and updates the list required daily, ensures kits are picked and delivered to correctly to the departments needing the product

  • Provides information on shorts and updates for internal production needs.

  • Orients, trains, instructs, retrains Associates as to Company policies and procedures, and performance expectations. Monitors and evaluates performance; make effective recommendations to Materials Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Human Resources, regarding personnel matters affecting Associates.

  • Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations; housekeeping and maintenance of work areas and equipment.

  • Investigates causes of damages or shortages in kits and or deliveries.

  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.

  • Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Qualifications include:


  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in shipping.

  • Experience with forklift operation.

  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.

  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.

  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
