GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Sr. Manager Business Intelligence works with all departments within Dole Fresh Vegetables to develop BI reporting that improves and/or automates DFV reporting. In addition, this role will support the Power BI platform and initiate user outreach and training. This position will need to be able to support any performance and/or troubleshooting activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Analyze, build, and deliver new reporting solutions or enhancements (i.e., Power BI reports, dashboards, workspaces, and apps)


• Create design specifications for new Power BI reports with stakeholders and other key users to develop an understanding of the need.


• Translate user requirements and user stories into actionable items.


• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.


• Create and maintain report documentation.


• Analyze specific opportunities and identify improvements that directly support business objectives.


• Manage a team of offshore & in-house resources.


• Day-to-day end user support including user provisioning, training, troubleshooting, and maintenance of applications.


• Stay current on business systems technologies relevant to specific areas of responsibility.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

SKILLS:

• Experience with and excellent grasp of relational and dimensional data modeling.


• Experience in agricultural, distribution, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods companies with commercial operations is preferred.


• Outstanding analytical skills and a proven ability to connect data analysis with business issues and decisions.


• Familiarity with SQL, HTML, Javascript, Jinja/Python preferred.


• Proven process-improvement track record.


• Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.


• Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• 8+ years of experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools and demonstrated record of career progression.


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or similar, required. MBA preferred.
