We currently have an opening for a Software Product Manager.

The Technology Product Manager position develops technology offerings by identifying potential products or programs to develop or aggregate from both company-built and 3rd party offerings; conducting market research; generating defined product requirements based on customer interaction; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing market penetration strategies.

What You'll Do:


  • Product Manager for proprietary fleet management software as a service platform with ongoing feature development roadmap; Crdo ProEnvision software.

  • Establish and lead the implementation of a complete temperature-controlled ecosystem offering for the health sciences markets, including fleet management software, IoT devices, physical products, global facilities and expert staff.

  • Develop and implement IoT and SW strategies to create competitive advantage and improved customer ROI.

  • Identify and direct implementation of key new IT technologies for future market needs.

  • Ability to understand temperature and location monitoring needs of market, the solutions required and how those translate to product requirements or technologies necessary to be incorporated into Pelican BioThermal's technology product offering, these include:

    • Reverse logistics and other services offered in our global services network

    • Customer shipment data for a complex web of international shipments

    • Quality and lane data to use for business intelligence of value to both customers and overall go to market strategy for Pelican BioThermal



  • Determines customers' needs by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product technologies by reviewing customer specifications and requirements for remote asset management; appraising new product ideas; planning for product lifecycle from launch to sunset.

  • Actively assess market competition by comparison between competitors' technology offerings and Pelican BioThermal's technology offerings.

  • Spends time with customers evaluating product roadmap, gathers details on product requirements and reviewing works in progress and pre-release versions of products.

  • Works as a liaison between the sales, operations, services, engineering and other teams to consolidate and document new product requirements for all stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Introduces and markets new products by developing scheduled plans with sales and marketing.

  • Obtains product market share by working with sales and marketing teams to develop product sales strategies.

  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.

  • Recommends product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as assigned.

What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, computer science, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years product management experience, preferred experience is in fleet management software, Internet of Things platforms and/or real time measurement software.

  • Experience working with Voice of Customer or other requirements gathering process.

  • Superior presentation, communication (written and oral) and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and work extra hours as needed.

  • Ability to work on complex projects with wide-ranging levels of detail and time frame, from daily tasks to strategic company-evolving efforts taking years to complete.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with international markets.

  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, up to 25% of the time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
