The Family Service Coordinator works in partnership with education and disabilities team members, recruits and enrolls children and develops and implements Individualized Family Partnership agreements with parents. Acts as community liaison for the program.


The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for:



  • Building on child and family strengths to support school readiness goals and success in life,

  • This position has primary responsibility for organizing, implementing and tracking program activities within the Health and Family and Community Partnership service areas. 

  • The incumbent works in partnership with education and disabilities team members, recruits and enrolls children and develops and implements Individualized Family Partnership agreements with parents. Acts as community liaison for the program.

  • Identify and utilize state and local resources to support child and family.  Familiarizes the parents with available resources in the area served, and makes and accepts referrals for the children and families to and from other community agencies.

  • Plans family activities and promotes family engagement.

This position requires:



  • Coordinator Family Services I – Associates degree in a human service or related field.

  • Coordinator Family Services II - Bachelor's degree in a human service or related field.

  • Coordinator Family Services III – Master's in Human Services or related field.

  • Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions.  A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

  • Must have reliable transportation and a current driver's license with no more than three points. 

    Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position.  Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence.   There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver’s ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.
