Michael Baker International is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for our Pittsburgh (Moon Twp.), PA location. Willing to consider this position working from another Michael Baker U.S. location.

JOB SUMMARY

Working directly with IT Operations and Infrastructure and following established processes, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of one or more IT projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Projects in the portfolio impact enterprise systems and cover a variety of corporate disciplines including Finance, HR, Corporate Communications, Legal, and core IT - all with a focus on cybersecurity and infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine scope, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
• Establishes work plan and resource planning for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel as well as tracking resources against the capital plan
• Develops/implements project plans/methodologies for complex projects, varying between single and multi-discipline practices
• Confers with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority; Manages the resources of the project
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
• Perform analysis of project management development and success in order to align with company goals and strategies
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others, and perform cost management analysis
• Prepares business case analysis and alternatives for presentation to senior IT leadership
• Develops and maintains sponsor stakeholder engagement to ensure satisfaction
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
• Generate and/or approve purchase orders, rebills, credits
• Occasional travel may be required
• Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 7-10 years related experience, either internally or equivalent external experience, and proven success managing complex projects
• Bachelor's degree required
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field is desired
• Knowledge and understanding of IT Infrastructure including but not limited to: Networking, Servers, Active-Directory, Microsoft 365, Unified Communications and Collaboration
• Knowledge and understanding of change management principles and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on all levels, internal and external
• Ability to conceptualize and think creatively
• Ability to apply effective use of project contingencies, both budgets and schedules
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams across multiple offices and with several subconsultants
• Establish clear lines of communications within project team and with client for free flow of information
• Demonstrated intimate familiarity with client's requirements, challenges, and key areas of interest for growth
• Demonstrated ability to properly address and manage change
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms
• Demonstrated problem-solving, negotiations, and decision-making skills

LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification is a plus
