SUMMARY

In this position, the Software Engineer will contribute to the creation of custom simulation tools, that are tailored to specific needs of design engineers.The position involves programming / development activities in conjunction with other members of the development team.The simulation market for design engineers is a fast-growing segment of the company business. ANSYS is committed to address it, by providing easy-to-use products that leverage on the power and breadth of the company's flagship products

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work as a member of the extensibility development team in creating and extending the infrastructure for customization of design engineers products


• Work with other development teams in providing access to the core technology for integration in third party applications


• Contribute to the creation and review of documented APIs


• Provide second line support for technical questions and issues related to extensibility and customization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with strong emphasis on programming


• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming language (C++, C#, Java)


• Demonstrated familiarity with one or more scripting language (Python, Perl, other)


• Familiarity with development environment (Visual Studio, Eclipse, other)


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of client-server applications and service based architecture


• Experience with UI development


• Understanding of engineering concepts is a plus
