Job Description:

As the MemorialCare Employee Health Manager, the main focus will be on the day-to-day operations of the Employee Health clinic at our Fountain Valley Shared Services Offices. This includes providing pre-employment health screening for newly hired employees system-wide and actively partnering with the campus Human Resources and Employee Health.

This position will also oversee other Employee Health services provided to Shared Services and Medical Foundation employees, such as conduct fitness for duty assessments, provide primary care interventions as needed and under the direction of the Medical Director or other staff physicians, perform focused physical examinations, diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries, provide immunizations, manage flu vaccination and other vaccination programs at Fountain Valley location, participate with Wellbeing events, as needed and other related duties.

Responsible for managing the employee health services at MemorialCare Shared Services/Foundation in Fountain Valley. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Responsible for budget and operations of the Employee Health, managing supplies and applying LEAN process. Ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. Responsible for administering pre-employment physicals, manage flu vaccination and other vaccination programs, treating walk-in employee sick visits. Overseeing and maintaining clinic statistics. May provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.


  • Manage the new hire process, physicals, labs, vaccines/titers. Coordinating with other departments and other campuses, as needed.
  • Organize and manage clinic operations, including scheduling, maintaining charts, employee results, interfacing with Stericycle, lab companies and various other vendors. Ensures regulatory compliance
  • Participate and serve as a clinical consultant in monthly/quarterly WC case reviews. Interface with fields case nurse managers to provide history and direction for medical care outcomes.
  • Managing of staff, employee development, performance reviews, timecards, hire and fire recommendations.
  • Administration of Employee Health services for ill employees, including annual flu vaccinations and other vaccination programs, perform front and back job duties when necessary.
Experience

  • Minimum of 5 year's RNP experience, preferably with a background in Employee/Occupational Health experience.
  • Nursing certificate in occupation health, preferred.
  • 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of, Department Health, Department of Labor, OSHA and Cal-OSHA, preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Experience in Workers' Compensation and/or orthopedics preferred.
  • Experience with EMR, Epic preferred
