Job Description:

Production Supervisor

Job Description
Springfield is home to one of four Nestlé Purina litter factories, which mass produces cellulose-based cat litter, dog litter and animal bedding. Spanning 5 acres of land in the Partnership Industrial Park (200 miles southwest of St. Louis). For 50 years, brands like Tidy Cats® have combined the highest quality ingredients and science to even the most disposable products. The 70's advanced into microencapsulated deodorant, by the 90's we were clumping and scooping, and in 2000 we introduced Crystals® made from silica gel, and designed to last 30 days between changes. Innovation continues today. In 2013, Nestlé Purina revolutionized the cat litter category, producing LightWeight® litter, which has all the strength, but only half the weight of conventional litter. These and future innovations have created demand that our Springfield, MO plant is proud to meet.

As our Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising production personnel on various shifts. From you, this position requires strong leadership skills. People and process development will also be critical to this role. The Production Supervisor will mentor staff, contribute to continuous process improvement, and ensure that proper sanitation and safety guidelines are being met.

We're still at it today, with Tidy Cats®, the lightweight cat litter champion of the world and the leader in our category. Such leadership requires constant innovation and renovation, which is so often rooted in our world-class food production standards.
