Dismantles, repairs, redesigns, rebuilds, modifies, and assembles all vehicle components and structures including engines, electrics, transmissions, and hydraulics to gas, diesel, LP and electric industrial power trucks, and other plant vehicles.
Lubricates and services plant vehicles with gas, oil, grease, air, water, hydraulic fluids and transmission fluids.
Reads and interprets electric and hydraulic schematics, blueprints and service manuals. Uses testing equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot.
Perform cutting, burning and tack welding. Perform non-destructive testing.
Enter time, keep records, logs, reports, and maintain databases.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
Must be a verified vehicle and or truck mechanic who has 2 to 5 years of on the job experience as a mechanic.
Must successfully complete and pass Truck Repair Mechanic testing requirements (qualified candidates will be contacted with instructions on how to complete the test.)
