We are seeking an Image Management Assistant to:


  • Be responsible for assistant level work within Enterprise Imaging – Image Management.

  • Develop proficiency and expertise in moving clinical data to viewing locations on radiology imaging systems, transferring images from electronic media, and identifying anatomy, modalities, and procedure types

Education:

Minimum – High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred – Education in Health Information Management, Clinical Healthcare, Information Technology or other related field.

Work Experience:

Preferred – One year of Healthcare or Customer Service experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, be patient, and respond professionally to all requests.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and team skills in a complex organizational setting.

  • Ability to prioritize and react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work.

  • Aptitude to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of professionals.

  • Exhibits caring attitude when relating to patients, both on the phone and in person.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to locate, read, and interpret State and Federal (HIPAA) Statutes/Regulations regarding using and disclosing protected health information, and other miscellaneous legal documents.

  • Ability to identify when urgent action is required as provided by department guidelines.

  • Technological aptitude to become proficient in navigating and using multiple applications to include PACS and EMR.

  • Ability to understand anatomy and other medical terminology.

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Weekend rotation once every 12 weeks on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
